After reading Lionnais's Manifestos gave me a much better understanding the Oulipo and lipograms. Giving me a better understanding has really made The Void a lot more interesting. I am able to read the book now not really thinking about how the book doesn't incorporate an "E" throughout the book. I do think it is still somewhat hard to follow with the use of French words, but George Perec did an outstanding job at being able to achieve a book like this and still have a fairly well plot. I am interested to see what comes up next and if there will be challenges reading and understanding the rest of the book.
